I Know Why the Caged Bird Can’t Read…It’s a bird
Read the introduction to the education section on page 87 (only a page) and then read “I Know Why the Caged Bird Cannot Read” by Francine Prose on page 89.
Then, blog (or write if your blog is still buggy) the anwsers to Questions for Discussion numbers 1-2 and Questions on Rhetoric and Style numbers 1-3 and 6-9.

I left my book at school. Is there another place I can find text?
It was published in the September 1999 edition of Harper’s Magazine. Their archives are only available to subscribers (I take the Atlantic instead). If you know someone who takes it, they can get it online. Otherwise, a Google search didn’t turn anything up and Proquest only has an abstract. Besides, you need the book to do the homework questions. My best advice is to work with someone else in class and use their book.
So… I got a call from Anna. :] She needs to borrow my book, so naturally, I was like, “Sure! I’ll bring it by tomorrow!”
But then I realized I forgot my book in your class. o__o And you’re right! I can’t find that article it anywhere online!
Ironically, I had just found my book in Mr. Haas’s class after it had been left in there for three days. He scolded me for not putting my name in it. So I took it to your class, didn’t put my name in it, and forgot it under my desk.
Do you think Andrea will read it to me over the phone? ;D
Uh, I don’t know if Andrea would do that, but she has already done her homework so she might be willing to loan it to you. I’m going in to the school tomorrow to work on that WASL class. I’ll look under your desk to see if it is still there.
